I’m amused at how babies can elicit smiles and interest from even the most dubious of characters. Our jackass of a landlord who is at this moment attempting to boot us out still cant help but smile genuinely and say what a good baby Aspen is when we walk by.
Clearly he was not present today when our sitter arrived. Her greeting was instantly reciprocated with a meltdown of nuclear proportions, complete with tears, red face and snot stream. What’s with this new phase? I understand it’s called “stranger anxiety” and is fairly common, but can’t seem to wrap my head around the notion that two chronically social parents can spawn an anti-social child.
