BLOGS & DESERT FROLICKING

How has so much time passed without a post?!

Oh, right…I know how.  From countless hours spent happily researching fellow bloggers for my new j-o-b in the last 3 weeks (newest faves listed on ‘Places I Love’ page). So many witty, snarky, sentimental, smart and brave ladies; recording their families’ lives and splaying their emotional selves open for our benefit. It’s infectious and downright intoxicating. I feel the envy one experiences when a friend spouts a fantastic punchline…”man that was good, why didn’t I think of that?”

All proof positive that the advent of motherhood really does spark an internal avalanche of thought, creativity, POWER.

And I agree with Anthony Robbins when he says “a life worth living is worth remembering.” So here’s to it.

Babygirl you have:
  • sprouted your two front teeth
  • muttered both “ciao” and “wow”
  • become a comedian
  • taken your first two stumbling steps
  • survived your first camping trip
Or rather, Daddy and I survived. Actually we all passed with flying colors,  …quite pleased with ourselves. You were enamored with the sounds of wildlife in the morning, and with the shadows the light played in our tent at sunrise.

I’ve forgotten how much I thrive on camping out, tenting up, getting dirty, running with the critters. It lights a small fire in my belly, that slowly makes its way through the rest of my body, creeping up to my face and igniting a huge grin that wears on for days. Yesssss. And damn is this desert beautiful. Snakes be damned, we’ll be back.  Thanks to our dear friends for organizing such a juicy love-filled event. We’re blessed to know you.

  1. Wow! What a great time you must have had! Good for you taking baby! So many people are afraid of traveling with babies and just give up a lot of their life once they have small kids. Thanks for stopping by the S&R weekend hop! Hope to see you again next weekend. Have a great week!!!
